DO I NEED TO HOLD CHILD'S HEAD?

There is a special supportive hood in all Panga clothing. Its fabric does not allow the baby’s head to sweat and does not obstruct breathing. It is recommended to hold your child’s head gently with your hand if you do not use the supportive hood or to control that the head is on the mother’s breast until the baby starts to hold it on his/her own.

IS IT HARMLESS FOT THE BABY'S SPINE TO USE THE SLINGTANKTOP?

The baby’s spine has a rounded “C” letter shape. There are no curves in baby’s spine compared to the adult one, therefore Panga clothing fabric repeats the bending of his/her body. Child’s back is slightly curled repeating the position while being in mother’s womb. Precisely this position is more physiological for the child. When a caregiver walks whilst babywearing (the practice of keeping your baby close), the spine of a baby easily amortizes the steady rocking, the load is evenly distributed on the back of the child without disrupting the process of the proper spine development.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO IF THE BABY DOES NOT FIT INTO THE POUCH OF A SLINGTANKTOP?

If you notice that the legs of your baby have been twisted under the butt whilst the wearing process, help him/her to take the correct position. That is the M-position. Legs are bent and spread aside as if the child hugs you with them. Feet are facing the opposite sides. After you have managed to do this, slightly pull the pouch out in the place where the head supportive hood is placed. Be free to pull the fabric up immensely and allow it to adjust to the baby’s weight, making the knees higher than the bum.

DOES PARENT'S BACK GET TIRED DURING BABYWEARING?
While being in Panga SlingTankTop, the child’s weight is evenly distributed as there are no any stiff constructions and, therefore, no any specific pressure points in this carrier compared to “kangaroo” ones. There are some points of fixation in Panga clothing which give an extra support to the construction. Importantly, in this case we are limited by the baby’s weight of 9,5 kg(21lbs).

WILL CHILD'S LEGS FIT INTO THE SLINGTANKTOP POUCH?
Baby’s legs are well fitted in the SlingTankTop in M-position, if all the babywearing instructions have been followed.

CAN THE BABY FEEL HOT WHILE BEIING INSIDE THE SLINGTANKTOP POUCH?
Panga clothing is made of special knitted fabric, which has a dense structure to withstand the weight of the child. At the same time, it is breathable, preventing the baby from overheating as well as keeping the warmth in low temperatures.

HOW LONG SHOULD THE BABY STAY IN A SLINGTANKTOP FOR?
Following the pediatricians’ and kinesiologists’ advice, the time spent in the SlingTangTop should equals the time outside of it. Therefore, if your child has fallen asleep while being in the SlingTankTop for two hours, then he/she should stay outside of the carrier for the next two hours.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO IF THE BABY HAS FALLEN ASLEEP IN THE SLINGTANKTOP?
Just continue doing your own things, dedicating some time to yourself, or, alternatively, put the baby into the cradle/crib.

WHAT IS THE WEIGHT LIMIT FOR THE SLINGTANKTOP?
You can use Panga clothing from the moment of birth up until the baby reaches the weight limit of 9,5 kg.
